On Canadian Studies,we learned the information about John Cabot( c. 1450 – c. 1498), by ourselves.It was a exciting way to learn .I will introduce John Cabot in my blog.
1 I find two pictures about John Cabot.I notice his appearances and experiences from the pictures.The first picture shows John Cabot's apperance which when he was old.He had eyes which was full of the ideas and the deep thought.The hair and the Beard were long and they represented his wit.He looks very nice.He dressed up the classical clothes and handed a paper.I guess that was his plan for his job.His actions were full of the vitality.The second picture showed the experiences of John Cabot.He was working for his ship and making a discussion .He standed in front of the ship and teached the workers how to work.Maybe he met some troubles ,he looked at the front carefully.I notice the environment about the ship and it was dangerous.I can feel the cloud runned on the sail.However,it was full of the difficult,John Cabot carefully.

John Cabot was a great Italian navigator and explorer.He was born in Genoa, Italy around 1450.He moved to Venice where he most likely learned to sail.In 1484, he moved again, this time to Bristol in England. He changed the name from Giovanni Cabot to John Cabot.He made his first voyage to North America in 1497.The ship named Matthew.He sailed northwest, through the lands' waystormy Atlantic Ocean, and eventually came to North America.He claimed the land that he found for England.He got married in He found the new land named Newfound land for England .It was a most important dedication for Canadian cultures , Information and situations .He helped the new land became a country .He overcame the difficult of he found the new
3Why is he important to Canadian history?

John Cabot was explorer.He found the North America for England.In 1947,he sailed to the Newfound land which is belong to Canada.The Canadian cultures,information were known by others and more and more people came to Canada and they lived there.John Cabot made an important contribution for the development of Canada.

4 Why did he leave Europe?

Because they(England)would not give the money to John Cabot for his exploring voyages.He wanted to get the riches from the Asia.He didn't get on well with the business men which was from the Arab.

5 What happened to John Cabot?

John Cabot believed that Asia could be reached by sailing westward.In 1498,he wanted to find "Japan",so he organized the ship team .He took four or five ships and almost 300 men.No one knows what happened to this expedition.It is because John Cabot disappeared in this trip.

John Cabot found the cod.He came back to the England.He told the information to the king.He decided to went to place that he found the cod again.Maybe he met some troubles and he didn't came back to the England .No one saw him ,later.The land became a fish village and there are many fish men lived there.After three years,another explorer arrived in the village again......
